Dhruv Baker at Bedford School - Waitrose
bit.ly - Dhruv visits his old school to cook at their summer barbecue and meets some of his old teachers. Dhruv: "It's an absolutely beautiful summer's day, and I'm here at my old school boarding house cooking for the summer barbecue. We've got about a hundred guests, and I've got a mountain of food to cook -- so I hope they're all hungry." Dhruv: "So far the day's going really well. We're halfway through prep, the guys are in the kitchen making my sides -- we've got a lovely pasta salad, a cous cous salad, a lovely fresh herby green salad, some chicken portions which have been marinated and then cooked in the oven, and finally these wonderful butterflied legs of lamb, which have been marinated, and we're just going to finish them on the barbecue." Peter: "Dhruv, it's going well. Nice little crowd here, got some parents here, the boys are loving it, the sun's out, it's summertime -- Pemberley house is enjoying themselves." Dhruv: "So that's most of the cooking done -- we've sent plates of the sausages, the chicken, the lamb up to the table because we already have the salads laid out. Myself and Pete, who's the housemaster here at Pemberley, have shared the cooking duty -- and no sooner will this be done, and we'll start on dessert." Dhruv: "Feels weird calling you Mike, obviously I knew you for years as Mr Gun, but fantastic to see you here today and have you eaten enough, have you enjoyed the food -- what did you think?' Mike: "Brilliant. The lamb was superb, sausages ... !8!# Buy Citizen Perpetual
